RMS and HKU SPACE Partner for New Executive Diploma Program—Asset Recovery Law, Receivable and Fraud Control Practice

Unique Course Offers Executives Comprehensive Training
in the Asia-Pacific Market

RMS, a leading global BPO (outsourcing) and Recovery Services provider, and HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPACE), the extension arm of the University of Hong Kong, a leading local provider in high quality continuing education in Hong Kong for the past five decades, are partnering to offer a comprehensive Asset Recovery and Receivable and Fraud Control Practices Course—the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific market.  RMS’ Chief Financial Officer, Michael Kronenfeld and Professor C.M. Young, Head of HKU SPACE will preside at a signing ceremony on Wednesday June 13, 2007.

“This unique course offers asset recovery and receivables professionals the opportunity to receive advance training and earn an executive diploma, leading to further matriculation of the postgraduate diploma in enterprise risk management of HKU SPACE,” said David Huebner, CEO, RMS.

The program consists of:

  • Asset Recovery Law and Anti-Fraud Investigation, focusing on the legal issues behind asset recovery.
  • China Commercial Law: Liability Risk in Receivables Management, focusing on legal issues involving commercial transactions and contract law with the People’s Republic of China.
  • Collection, Documentary Credits and International Trade Law, discussing current collection topics
  • Receivables Management and Financial Regulatory Compliance, designed to develop collection and credit policies.

“We are excited to present expert faculty with expertise in credit, legal, and collections,” said Deborah Ho, Managing Director, RMS Hong Kong.  The course is CEF (Continuing Education Fund) reimbursable from the government and accredited with CPD points by the Law Society of Hong Kong. Some of the key professional bodies and organizations, including ACCA, CPA Australia, Association of International Accountants (AIA), Grant Thornton and HK Exporters’ Association, have shown their full support and sponsorship to the program.
