International Collections - Runner Services
In countries where either the personal delivery of invoices is the normal practice, mail services is not reliable, or where things such as the date for the delivery or payment collection is very specific, RMS provides runner services. Governed by the laws of the various countries, RMS employees physically visit the debtor in order to provide:
- Invoice Delivery - authorized signature collected for tracking if required or allowed
- Payment Collection - authorized signature collected for tracking if required or allowed
- Skip Tracing - the investigation of debtors who have moved with no forwarding address
The physical delivery of invoices in many major international cities, such as in Latin America and the Pacific Rim, can be the standard or expected service and therefore may already be included in the cost of collection. Additional fees may be charged for deliveries to remote areas, payment pick-ups, or to have skip tracing investigations done.

- Eliminate debtor receipt questions with personal invoice delivery
- Date and time of delivery tracked/documented
- Signature received where required and allowed
- Site visits result in more payments
- The effort of a personal visit communicates an increased seriousness by the creditor to collect
- The visibility of the debt made by a public visit encourages debtor settlement
- Find debtors who have closed or relocated by being able to personally speak with new tenants, neighbors, or local authorities
