Steven D. Sass

Steve is a member in good standing of both the Maryland and Federal Bar Associations. He has over 18 years of legal experience related directly to collections and recovery services from his tenure with RMS and prior to that, D&B (Dun and Bradstreet). Steve has served on major creditor’s committees for companies including Ames, Hills, Lionel, Schwinn, Warnacom, and Maidenform, and continues to act as a Trustee in select bankruptcy cases.
Timothy J. O’Donovan
Transportation Industry Expert
Admitted to the Illinois State Bar, U.S. District Court N.D. Illinois, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and N.D. Illinois, Tim also holds active memberships with the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA), Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA), ACA International (The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals), Illinois Collector’s Association, and the Transportation Revenue Management Group. His depth of knowledge and experience within the transportation industry allows him to very effectively focus on claim evaluations, executory contracts, and preference defenses for customers operating within this very unique market.
Kelli J. Bohuslav-Kail
Creditor Preference Expert
Kelli’s memberships include the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Anne Arundel Country Bar, Sports Lawyer Association, and the Maryland Lawyer for the Arts. Managing the creditor preference defense for one of RMS’ largest clients, and its affiliates and associates, Kelli also creates and reviews their bankruptcy related contracts and agreements. She assists with the team management of Bankruptcy Proof of Claim filings, other creditor preferences, and preference pursuits for various debtors.
B. Elizabeth Plank
Preferences Expert
As a member of the Maryland State Bar, Federal Bar, American Bar Association and American Bankruptcy Institute, Liz holds positions supporting both creditor and debtor preference actions. For debtors, she acts as the Case Administrator, Prosecutor, and/or Creditor Committee member. On the creditor side, Liz is the lead attorney for preference matters involving the top RMS Bankruptcy Services customers including defenses against Chapter 5 avoidance actions.
Ron L. Rowland
Preference Defense Expert
As a member of both the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations, and American Bankruptcy Institute, Ron has over 14 years of experience in the area of bankruptcy law. He specializes in the representation of companies in communication with Trustees, Creditors Committees, and/or their attorneys in preference defenses and related actions. This includes analysis of defenses and negotiation of settlements with preference defendants.
Pina S. Wertzberger
Creditor Defense Expert
Pina is a member of the bar in the Supreme and District Courts of both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her litigation expertise lies in the representation, in bankruptcy court, of creditors in non-dischargeability actions and of secured mortgage lenders. Additionally, Pina has defended lending institutes in actions pursuant to the Federal Truth and Lending Act. She currently pursues the collection of outstanding receivables on behalf of the estate or chapter 7 Trustees.
